Dang. This was my pick for the number one spot. I gave it a 9 because of the mood and the soul captured in those magnificent eyes. THe perspective, the tones, the model...what more could you add? Congratulations on a fantastic photo. Drop the bottom 28 or even 69 votes to see where it should have finished. |

Considered this a sure fire top 3 image during voting. Opinion hasn't changed. Well done regardless of placement. |

I like it. I migh've cropped it a bit more off of the bottom to balance the crop at the top. ;~) |

I really thought this would do better. I've got to wonder about the 3 1's and 3 2's... Do the others look for their competitors and vote poorly to bring them down? |

I like the editing on this shot. The contrast is great and so are the color tones. Beautiful eyes. Has a cool artistic feel. Back to bump you up to 9. |

Despite the lack of color (which I realize is intentional), this is a striking portrait. great perspective, and huge eyes! |

Although I really don't like this portrait one little bit I must admit that you have captured her glare quite well. The reason I don't like it is purely personal taste and has nothing to do with the model, lighting or composition (which is all excellent). I can't really explain it other than she scares me :) Anyway, I gave it a 7 at first glance but it deserves better....bumping to 9 |

Very nice job on this. The moodiness of the lighting really works for me. The depth of field is fantastic and I love the choice of background. The bricks give it a street shot type of feel that just would never work as well with the moodiness of the look, the lighting, and the eyes if it were shot in a studio. Focus is right on the money as are the catch lights in both eyes. Fantastic shot. |
