This speaks to me somehow, and I was going to title it, but I find I'm more interested in what it says to the viewer, if it says anything at all, and I don't want a title to get in the way of it. So, what say you?

steps:
crop
levels
curves
used this texture, once in multiply 100%, 2nd time in hard light 36%
more levels
more curves
photo filter - warming LBA 20%

resize, slight USM

It reminds me a bit of Christian's work, both the minimal shoreline and the texture. It speaks of days at the lake, but days long gone, when parents were married and the kids ran freely after sunset.

I like the moody tones and overlay with the gulls. I'm not as crazy about the boat in the shot (not sure why, but it looks too modern compared to the rest of the image). Still a very strong piece.

A quiet, serene scene. The soaring motion of the gulls is so beautifully captured.

love the braveness of an 100% texture :) Birds definately make this shot and seem to me are more the subject of the image than the boat

Love this shot and the width to that border is really nice framing as it balances with it. Bring me some coffee, I'm sitting back and feeding the birds.

The birds create a strong sense of space, air, & light. Interesting process w/an interesting result. "D

Certain images suit this type of treatment and this is certainly one of them. I like it very much.
