Genevieve

My four month old daughter. She is one chubby little girl, so funny. Natural light coming through the car window. Should have wiped the slober but it's a losing battle, trust me.

Certainly a nice natural picture of what Genevieve typically looks like from your comments. The drool just adds to the overall baby feel. The natural light is beautiful. I would have liked to see her other eye in focus as well.

aside from the slight dof on the one eye everything about this shot is spot on!

You've really caught that "baby look" if that makes sense. I'm talking about those moments where they just stare and don't seem to do much. I'm glad you left the drool, because that's a part of life at this moment. And yours.

Yup, the drool stays!

I do agree with the dof comments however its not like you won't be revisiting many (many) thousand time more ;)

Now, heres a challenge. Get a background that will last (for ages) then every month for the next 18 years or so take a straight on portrait image then stick em all together in a video to hand to the groom :)

The wonderful being there of babies! I'm with the drool/bubble contingent here.

What a sweetie. I miss those days where a child looks so cute just sitting and staring at something. She has beautiful eyes! I love that you captured her blowing that little bubble too.

The slobber is an essential element for four month old babies. Gotta have it. The light here is nice - tad bright but not so much as to worry about it. Really defines her eyes nicely.

Excellent candid portrait - no worries about the slobber, its endearing. The crop is a little too tight for me, but a nice shot all the same.

Beautiful portrait. I like the crop but find the lighting a bit harsh. Adorable baby.

Her right eye (left in photo) is super sharp and detailed. I think a tad more depth of field would be an improvement, but I like the photo, regardless.

She's a cutie. Nice lighting, it really makes for good contrast between the light skin and the dark eyes. The only thing I would like would be a little more depth of field. The left eye is in good focus, but the right eye is fairly soft.

Cute daughter! I think the lighting is too strong and isn't very flattering.

What a cutie! Great composition and cropping. Babies are perfect for fill the frame....their skin is always so smoothe.

Innocence and vulnerability, you remind me with this photo, have a strong effect on some viewers.

Congrats on the new baby. Impressed you took on the LOD tournament (and now the Hotpasta tournament) with a newborn at home. But I digress. Very adorable baby photo, nice composition and lighting. Light must have been bright -- the pupils are very constricted.

Oh, Trevor! What a beautiful baby picture! I adore this fill-the-frame composition of that adorable face. Congratulations on your brand new baby! She is a heart-stopper.
