Ewww, ugly face! Incredible use of skin tones, good contrast with blue eyes. The blood-shot eyes help drive the message home. Good job. Glad it wasn't DQ'd.

This one REALLY caught my attention because the eye looks so worn and weathered with the veins in the eye, the redness on the lid and the wrinkled skin. I think I see 2-3 faces in the reflection, which adds a whole additional layer of interest. Focus and/or DoF isn't quite sharp enough but still a great shot.
