You captured the snow flakes and thier textures extremly well! lighting is good but if you had an apture of 5 or there abouts you could have avoided that small hot spot. this photo has a good interest factor but doesnt fall in the rule of 1/3's that dpc loves to see. the background is a bit busy but for me personaly i like it. I think it gives this shot interest and your subject connects to it. yor color and sharpness are done very well and even tho this didnt score what it should have i would be proud of it.

You've chosen a lovely subject, well observed:) I think it would help your image if the main subject was less centrally placed in the picture. Either composing it differently as you take it or using cropping later. Watch the background too - it's quite busy and the snow is competing too much with that of your subject - not always the solution, but try shooting from different directions and heights to give your subject a bit more isolation. I like what you've seen there and you've captured the snow flake detail well :) |

Slightly putting the subject off centre may have helped your score. |
