 A great morning for shooting - especially seeing the port here in ice. The image was almost duo-tone before any processing - very gray. I desaturated using hue/sat, adjusted curves, added second layer for sky to bring in more cloud texture, save for web.

The shadows are perfect here. Love how the dark wood stands out against that bright background.

Nice ice pic :) As has been mentioned below I'd like to see more detail in the wood and am thinking you need a decent set of ND Grads for your birthday ;) Am pretty sure we'll be seeing more of the port throught this year/challenge :)

I like the composition a lot. I also like the how dark the ice is in the foreground but I think I would have like to see more texture in the pilings. Nice job saving the texture in the sky.

Nice composition, I rally like the placement of the leaning pier. Lovely reflections and I like the lighting alot in this shot, well done!

The blue note, the off beat. A rhythm broken. Discord. Odd numbers. Your photo reminds me to use these wonderful elements of musical composition in photography.

This is one I would probably want to see in color - just to see how that bright spot beyond the boat looks. For me, that area is a distraction because what I really want to look at are the beautiful contrasts created by the reflections.

This is nice. I do the think the blacks may be a little too black taking away from some nice texture in the wood. Cool shot.
