Water is flowing from lower right to upper left in the picture. I love how at the edges the cables disappear. This pooling is like a big bubble on the concrete floor if you catch it when the water first starts to run so the edges are raised. I also liked how the shadow from the left most beam seems to mark where the water starts to flow down into the next depression in the floor.

Deliberately poured water on the floor to do this shot. When there is a heavy rain or snow melt, this and one other small flows go across my basement to a drain. The darker edges are from the stain on the floor from it always flowing in the same spot and also recently having been wet naturally.

interesting idea. imo there doesn't seem to be enough information that this is a puddle

There's something science-fiction-y about this. I like it.

Oh yes, that is not a good thing, to be able to see the ceiling light in the floor. Hopefully that got fixed.

I guess if that is a puddle on the basement floor, it must be a very bad leak! This is kind of like an abstract painting, with the blurred edges around the puddle. It almost feels like I'm looking through a hole up to the ceiling (that's what I thought at first, actually). I like the colors very much, but not sure the picture grabs me as much as it should.

Weird. I just don't get this at all, but it's an intriguing photo. :)
