this feels more like a snapshot to me. the color, the strong light in the upper right, and the image not being perfectly square with the border are all distracting. this could be good subject matter, but i think it needs to be shot a bit differently.

Who said 'bars do not a prison make'? They certainly do in this case. Everything is there.. ( I suppose it would be unfair to insist that a prisoner pose for the camera). Very well done.

Lots of parallel lines in this shot, no doubt about that! Just a few suggestions - given that this shot is very yellow due to the lighting, it might have helped to make this one b&w, to bring out the textures. Also, some levels adjustment (bit more highlight, bit less midrange) would also help contrast the bars against a darker cell. Hope this helps!

Too bad you couldn't get a person in there...maybe someone with a film camera! Good clean shot; obvious p/lines. I think the composition would have been better with the horizontal bars even with the frame of the photo.
