 It was well below freezing and unbelievably windy Sunday morning when we did this shot. Three runs and I couldnt hold the camera anymore and Aidan & Aimee were shivering messes. And Monday and TUesday held no chance to reshoot. I still like this pic. I doubt it will score high (hopefully high enough to beat desertoddity) but I do find it pleasing. Fun colors, fun action. Just wish I could have spent more time focusing on the setup. Aidan did have fun.

This just gives me shivers, Tim. It's a great shot - lovely action, and it looks SO fun !

But the shivers - a quick-moving shopping cart that my older son was in at the time is how he ended up with a broken tibia. Something of a freak accident, but it's left us all a little leery of shopping carts since.

Looks like Aiden and Aimee had a blast though - hope everyone came out intact.

Though I have failed in the past :O this time I recognized Aimee. I like this shot. It has a great spirit of fun and affection to it, but is also exciting (which is what panning is all about). I think your lack of time to "focus on the setup" has made for a very candid, natural-looking shot, as though you just happened to come across a mother and child racing through the parking lot on a shopping cart. It's quite effective.

While the background is blurry, the subject is as well. The red of the sweater stands out against the black of the concrete. Croping the picture a bit, and moving the subject out of the center of the photo would be more intersting.

Fun picture. The extra large top/bottom border is very distracting for me. Good job tracking the subject.

I think the emphasis should be more on the people, they arent very focused. I do like the movement and the photo is very well balanced

now that looks like fun. effective use of panning to give sense of motion. colors might be a touch oversaturated. I don't like the border much.
