 This is the Perfection Bakeries (now Aunt Millie's Bakery) falling slices of bread sign on Pearl St. in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. There are 9 slices of bread on a wheel, which rotates 5,083 times per day, making the slices of bread appear to fall out of the loaf and onto the plate. The sign was installed in 1957 and has been in constant use since - over 50 years! Barring power outages, that is close to 850 million slices of bread. That's a lot of bread!

I just thought the title meant that it was a big loaf. I didn't realize this sign was animated. That's pretty cool.

I like how the sky and the Sunbeam name are both blue. The lines of the building pointing to the name also work well.

What a shame you couldn't have had someone up on the roof - just to give it a sense of scale and perspective.
