Verry creative, I can see that a lot of work went into this piece to make it perfect. In my opinion it is a winner.

I think you were very hard done by, with perhaps people not spending the time to actually look at your entry!

if somebody recommended this for disqualification, tell them to look closer next time! Cool concept

Good shot like it alot

If what I see is not a mirror, the trick is clever, the title perhaps could have been: "Thinking of My Autobiography"
10/04/2002 01:32:00 PM
very clever indeed...I like the limited color range; the simple, subtle elements make this a very strong image...and it made me laugh. (10) ~mcmurma

the thingy at the bottom detract from an otherwise good composition.
10/04/2002 10:08:00 AM
It is sad that enough people didn't "get this" to warrant an Administrator Note.

Nice photo btw :)

Subtle, clever.
Composition and colours don't appeal hugely to me.

Very humorous! Would make a good illustration.
10/03/2002 04:12:00 PM
Very interesting, well set up. Could be more in focus though.
10/03/2002 03:04:00 PM
Nice, creating the impression of a mirror, but the suites and hat are different. Pity the left one is partially hidden by the frame and you should crop of the shoes or show them totally.
10/03/2002 02:52:00 PM
not a mirror ... whatever ! what is it then ?
10/03/2002 12:11:00 PM
Where is the reflective surface?
10/03/2002 01:23:00 AM
I like the different hats ! Colour cast/ green is nasty though
10/02/2002 09:23:00 PM
Why use something that looks EXACTLY like a mirror????
10/02/2002 08:05:00 AM
if this isn't a mirror what is it. i like it though.

Ohhhh, great shotâ€Â¦ I've been playing spot the difference for the last twenty minutes. I can't fault the composition, but I can fault it in one area. The focus is slightly off. But, that doesn't mean the shot isn't first classâ€Â¦ Any shot that can hold the attention for twenty minutes has to get a good scoreâ€Â¦ Great idea, worth ten for the idea alone, I really like the ' at first glance it's a blooming mirror' effectâ€Â¦ Then you start to spot the subtle changes made between the two subjectsâ€Â¦ Keep this up, it's inventive shots like this that make DPC a special place. Nice illusion, but not a reflection. Good pic though.
10/01/2002 10:21:00 PM
Only a careless observer would think this is a reflection. I appreciate the humor, but can't see even a faked reflection. 5 nards656

Warning, this mirror will invert your gender! Cool.

I would have rotated it round a bit though. Have the 'mirror' at 45degrees and the 'reflected' stand a little more head on. Having the frame obscuring part of the clothes is just distracting to me. Brilliant idea though. 8

Very good.
10/01/2002 12:14:00 PM
Very good! This is not a mirror image.
10/01/2002 11:38:00 AM
Ah ha! Took me a minute, but then I realized that the two hats were a bit different, then I noticed the coats were. It is a very cool idea, and I think I can see what you were trying to accomplish, but for this challenge, IMO, it is not a reflection.
10/01/2002 10:16:00 AM
aren't you glad someone actually though this was a mirror... : )
10/01/2002 09:02:00 AM
I liked this one because the very first thought I had was "Hey! That's a mirror!" Of course, upon looking closer, I can see that it's not. I've been back a few times to look at it and am liking it even more because of the subtle differences in the reflection.

Very tricky.
10/01/2002 02:58:00 AM
Clever... and original

Nice job. Score 7 Justine

The admin note wasn't really nessessary, IF people would really look at the photos! The left coat is a woman, the right is a man. nouf said! Great creativity! 9 Swash

How is that not a mirror?
09/30/2002 10:26:00 AM
I have no idea why you used what you did to make the reflection. It looks so much like a mirror that I wouldn't be suprized if this shot comes is last place. It's a great photo, but it looks so much like a mirror that it's EXTREMELY hard to vote around the fact that it isn't.
09/30/2002 04:16:00 AM
no mirrors i thought..??
09/30/2002 01:27:00 AM
This is a really cool photograph... I don't see the reflection though? This appears to be an empty frame. The hats are different as are the jackets (woman/man?) I think you could have cropped a bit more from the bottom as well... I don't see that this met the challenge? If I'm wrong, let me know.... - 3 - JB
