Hmm. I think the shot suffers from being torn between too many subjects. Cropping in one one of the ducks would have changed your story, but probably would've had more impact. And your title would still have fit, pitting the real duck against his reflection.
Have you ever played with soft light layers? I think that technique could have brought out some of the detail in the very dark duck on the left. |

Very crisply delineated reflections - makes me think the rivals might be the reflections themselves. |

The composition here appears to be disjointed. I cannot decide if the fence post or one of the ducks is the focal point |

Nice reflection, but I think the composition is throwing me off a little. Maybe if the geese had been closer together. The fence? in the upper left corner also seems out of place. The reflection is very nice, though. It does look like they're getting ready to scrap. |

Good sense of composition - nice to have filled the top half of frame with something, rather than going with the temptation to isolate these two. It has something interesting to say about the structure of duck/goose, too, almost like an architectural exposition of three-quarter view and head-on. |

Very nice capture - I like the interplay between the geese and the simple but effective reflections at the top to "ground" the framing. |

Perhaps if the stick and wire were cropped out this would give more attention to the beautiful geese and their reflections. |

Very tranquil - I like the way the foreground water almost becomes sky without any ripples.... |

The shot itself I quite like. Then I read the caption, and in my mind it really improves the shot, making me look back at it in a completely new context. well done! |
