 Lighting was a paper covered flash gun held low and to the left. A white cardboard box in upper right to reflect back to the scene and soften shadows.

I think the lighting on the shot is what throws me off. I would have maybe tried a couple different angles to allow you to get more of the marble medicine dealy in the shot.

That's a pretty neat effect - getting the light to hit the one message as well at the bread.

The paper that says "Give us this day..." seems a little too bright compared to everything else. It overpowers the photo.
