Not to demean this piece, but when I first read your title, I though of Gibson's "Passion," but I like the shot too. It is perhaps the most original pieces here that fit the guidelines perfectly. |

lovely detail, excellent lighting but a little too tightly cropped for full marks. |

this is one case where the title detracts for me - but a well executed image |

not sure that i see passion in this (maybe your passion for the subject?:)), but i like it anyway. the lighting is a bit harsh, making for some blown out reflections, but the picture shows a great deal of character. nice crop.

I love the use of negative space in this one. I love the expression and the overall composition. The lighting is excellent. I'm sure you're going to do well. |

I really like the composition, with the line of his profile cutting the frame so confidently. The slight smile on his face is endearing and the light in his eyes certainly speaks of passion. I like that I can see his teeth - makes the smile look more genuine. Lighting seems a touch hard on his nose and cheek - is it already diffused? I like this one a lot. |

He looks posed but I think here thats okay. The light is good and I like the crop. I would only of liked to see this a little more sharp. Good entry. |

Which came first, the title and the idea or the photo? Anyway, it is very evocative and the title fits well. The background could do with clean up around the chin but it is a nicley lit, well captured portrait. |
