Looks yummy. I like the composition. Nice job on the focus. The textures are all very palpable.

I gave this 9, which is more than I gave anything else and I gave a lot of threes out for this challenge. Looking through the field, it seems that the texture and colour of bread are difficult and elusive. Maybe your 'plain jane processing' comment could provide a clue :-)

Actually looks pretty darn yummy, and I'm not big on food pictures. I do like bread though. A lot. The bread in the foreground and the bread the knife is in are not the same - what's the foreground one with the nuts/seeds in it?

I like the use of the knife however I think the shadow on this is a little distracting. It might've been good to come from a slightly different angle with your lighting.
