 Taken at Bidwell Park. This guy just happened to walk across when I was shooting. Looks like he's stopped and staring at the trees which gave me the idea for this development.

pp:
Opened two copies in Raw and blended for darker sky. Used overlay layer to dodge and burn. Brightness/contrast. Cloned out a few incidental objects.

Really great affect with the "circle of light" in the center of the image. The trees and the stance of the man almost give this somewhat of an eerie feel. Great clarity.

he anchors the image, IMO. The treetops are great! they look so great up there as a canopy & a perfect foil in their sparseness to the lush green grass

....concentrating his attention on the lighter green patch of grass behind him.... he quickens his pace, ever watchful of the alien light following his every footstep........

The trees are outstanding in the park.. Think of how long they have been growing as are sizeable..
u pp well... The man adds dimension and insight to the size of the trees..

I'm on my work monitor in a fairly bright room, but I can still see a lot of shadow detail. That lighter green patch in the middle just jumps out, and the figure walking in there makes the shot.
