I feel that this could benifit if the second peice of bread where in focus as it seems to be the main focal piece in the picture.

I like the DOF but think it would look better with the focal point being on the left most slice of bread.

Wondering if your focus had have been more on the front slice, it may have been a little better composition wise???

The focus here is on the wrong slice - our eyes are drawn to the slice in the middle of the frame, but it's OOF. A pity as the composition and lighting looks strong.

The colors are really desaturated and the bread would have benefited from side lighting. i
