This was actually a rather accidental shot... I pressed the button on my camera to just test the focusing, and got this shot of the empty bleachers, when I was shooting a men's lacrosse game... I liked it so I didn't automatically erase it as usual. I came back home and found this challenge, and figured I had nothing to lose by entering this. I called it cheerless for multiple reasons...
1) the lack of color, I left it in color, because black and white did not look right, but it is devoid of life or anything nothing cheery.
2) no cheering fans, cheerleaders, or otherwise. the weather was freezing, you can see the snow, in the middle of march! It was extremely cold, so there were very few people there for the game Cornell vs. Stony Brook. Cornell won.
Anyway... whatever happens with it... happens... enjoy :-)

Very nice and strong composition. Would've done wonderful in the "Silence" challenge as well, IMO. Have you tried experimenting in rotating the image slightly so the bleachers are perfectly horizontal?
After a while, all those horizontal lines start to play tricks on my eyes! |

Definately parallel lines, but hard on the eyes. Reminds me of those emails that get sent around where you have to look really hard to see something in the image. Good composition and lighting. Well matched to the challenge. :-) |

I think it would be better if you zoomed in more, there are to much parallels now for my taste |

Excellent idea, although the overall appeal might be limited to sports fans, which I am! |

Nice photo. My only comment is that including the back wall somewhat detracts from the nice flow in the rest of the photo. I would change the composition to include just the steps and the stairs. |

Cool composition! How does it look in black and white? I would love to see a great contrast black and white of this one. |

Would have been a really great photo if the top right were cropped out. Still really nice nonetheless. |
