Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Oksamit...
"Portraiture" holds an implied meaning to most viewers. In my mind, portraiture is a prepared and planned photograph of a person in a somewhat formal setting or with a formal idea behind it. There are many variations of portraiture, one of which I'm sure this photo falls into. This image doesn't intrigue me in any way. There is noting particular about the composition or lighting that makes it stand out as high quality work. I think it would make a good addition to your family album, but it doesn't create any sense of wonder for me as a viewer. I have no emotional attachment to your subject and there is nothing in the photo to create that attachment for me.

| A good subject but this feels like a snapshot. A bit more time spent on trying alternative angles and compositions would have yielded an improved image in my view. |

| What a lovely expression - the background is a bit busy but who cares? Nice lighting and it brings out those beautiful skin tones. |

| Cute baby and I really like the blues in the shot. The light is pretty harsh, and I think I might have cropped a little more off the right side. Love how the baby's looking right at the camera. |
