Wow. I never thought I'd be quoting Paris Hilton, but "That's Hot!"
This was a quick one to do, but I'm happy with how it turned out. I've been submitting a few 'Out of the Box' shots lately that have absolutely tanked, so to give my ego a bit of a rest I figured I'd submit a photo that is more standard DPC fare.
Basically I just put a black sheet over my couch, put a piece of bread on a black plate, jam, butter and bread on the cutting board, and shot. How did I get the smoke? That's my new secret weapon! I'll never tell! :)
Editting included standard levels, overall colour adjustments, shadows/highlights, UM, resize, UM, border, Save for Web. |

| This one has a lot of elements working at the same time. I think you could have simplified and done with one thing in particular to draw your attention. |

| Composition needs work. EIther pick the subject on the left (which is the more interesting of the two), or the one on the right, but not both. |

| I like the concept but think it would work better with a lighter background. The black pan(?) doesn't stand out enough. Also makes the bread board look like it's floating somewhat. |

| Light is a bit too bright on the loaf of bread but a good setup. |
