This is the Michigan City Public Library shot during the January Walkabout side challenge. It was cold and the wind chill was -20F when I shot this and didn't even want to think about setting up the tripod for bracketing. I have a few others from about 45min earlier but posted one already.

The glow on the panes is just awesome! This would look fun with a darker sky.

the smoothness of the windows and sky provide a wonderful complement to the intersecting lines and angles

I like the angle of this shot. I think to have adjusted it so everything was lined up may have spoiled the composition. Good use of the midnight filter.

I think you have made an otherwise boring shot quite interesting :) Not the easiest scene to get spot on composition and think you captures it well. Would prefer it if the library was straight though.

Pleasantly surreal, enigmatic - hint of Escher.

Nice lines in this shot and it works well in b&w. I also like the soft feel to the shot, somewhat dream like.

To capture the glassyness of glass and the cloudyness of clouds. There is a certain special art in understanding the characteristics of what one is shooting - even at -20F. Some mornings my fingers have gone completely numb in such weather... I understand the tripod dilemma.

I love the contrast between the regimented windows and the freeform clouds. Nice shades of grey.

The lines look a little bit dreamy, probably because of NI, and I like the composition with the triangles and 2/3rds.

The strong and clean geometrics are great and solidified with the smooth processing.

Simple and clean lines. Then the clouds go and be all puffy and disorganized, creating an interesting dissonance to the shot. (And you're nuts to be out shooting when it's that cold!)

I really like the strong lines and the abstract feel of the composition. Very interesting.

-20 ???? Brrrrrrrr. I can't get my mind around -20. I love cold winter days. . .the few we get here. But never THAT cold.

I love the simple composition and the clean lines against that winter gray sky. Very nice!

I just adore the smoothness of this image - I'm thinking it's the filter?

You did really well keeping the contrast low with the sky above. Cool looking building.
