I'd have preferred this on a plainer background.

This deserves a ribbon for the sheer work involved in making it,
Very well photographed too, good luck.

This is quite a handsome object. Who would believe that the humble safety-match could achieve such heights of artistry. I think this is very very good.

Nice, simple, and clean. Maybe too centered. I would have preferred a darker background.

I'm impressed, if not of the photograph, then of the patirnce in creating this..
The photo is actually pretty good.

the ligt background draws the color away from the match heads...cool little sculpture

You put a lot of effort into this and it shows. Great treatment of the challenge. Are you going to light it and take some more photos?

I keep coming back to this "not-a-Rubic's-cube" and admiring the structure of your entry. It's nicely photographed, but perhaps would have benefitted from a different base (darker?). Nevertheless it is original and fun. Good one!

I can see that someone has allot of time on their hands. Nice subject matter but the backgound could've been better.

Awesome idea and cropping. Great DOF. The color does seem too bland though, a boost of contrast might bring out the red in the match heads.

Is it wrong that I feel the overwhelming need to light a match?

I like the idea, but I feel there is too much space around it. The colours are very subtle.

Neat photo. The background detracts. Would be better on a pure white or black background.

The object itself is quite interesting, and I think this makes for an interesting image, would like to see this object photographed on a different surface though

Great shot! Took me a second to realize those are matchsticks. Great shot and a very well thought out / executed effort! My highest photo yet!

I really like this one. My only suggestion would be to try something from a slightly different angle - or crop in closer. However, overall it's an amazing shot. good luck!!

too much time on your hands ;)
inventive presentation of the theme. lighting is a bit flat, dof is well done. something about the background doesn't make it for me.

That is really neat! Wow. Unusual.......hey what do you do with a box of toothpicks?

Would like to have seen this done in macro..excluding the tabletop?
Might have given it more impact

Certainly not technically the best picture here but I had to give you high marks for creativity and effort. IMHO, your background should have been a different colour to provide more contrast.

Somebody has way too much time on their hands, hehe. Interesting subject to shoot, and the way it is done is superb. Many would like to see the background black or white, but I like the wooden table, since the matches are made of wood. DOF in nice, and the lighting is soft and nice. Very parallel.

Wonderful effort! Did you arrange the matchsticks for this picture? Very clear except for bottom right corner of cube.

Wow! Very interesting... this must have taken some time. I would have used a smaller aperature to get more of the subject in focus, otherwise, nice work!

Creative idea, nice composition. A white background and better lighting could have made it more powerful as an image. 7

Good luck...
