Strangely the bars of the gate enliven an otherwise rather ordinary view and make it into a real picture. Very good.

i'm not sure that the lines strengthen the composition on this one. perhaps with a different landscape being viewed, or a different angle. it might be interesting if the grass were seen only between the bottom two bars, trees in the next section up, etc. i'm not sure if that's clear, it's just the idea that struck when i looked at this. i do like the contrast of colors here, i think that works well.

nice shot. my only suggestion would be to crop the top and bottom of the pic to make the gate look a little more balanced/level.

Very striking. Good focus - how did you do it?

Fenced in landscape, thats an idea. I find the colors litle strange expecially of the sky. Maybe litle overexposed. The trees in the midground are not very convincing either.

You picked up a great middle ground between the focus on the gate or the background...gives it a nice feel, almost like you are standing there...nice job.

I quite like the idea behind this shot, but I think the background could do with some curves adjustment, and I would try and clone out the curve in the top left corner. Nice idea though.

The gate makes a nice frame at the same time. Nice image beyond. I really like the landscape.

very strong parallel lines, but they very much kill the image.

I like it but the difference in contrast gate/landscape seems a bit "strange".....7

Interesting how the rails divide the picture up.
