The overlay here was an excellent decision. Very creative. |

I agree with salmiakki. I really like the shot over her from overhead. I'm not sure if I like the overlay or not. Either way it's a beautiful shot I just think I would like it better without the overlay. |

Very creative and a wonderful shot. A keepsake I'm sure. Great processing as usual. |

Thanks, everyone! I really enjoy all the wonderful comments! I know some like the overlay and others don't and that's ok. I was pretty unsure about it to.

I thought about the arm to, but I kind of like the way it looks like it is hugging her as her top hand is wrapped around her head and her other around her shoulder.

Magnificent - the "ghost" makes this image so much more intense. |

I don't know what to say. It's stunning, the dancer is grace, the tutu is delicate/delicious as are the lights and darks. I am bothered by the arm overlay, and a little by the leg, but only when I think. The darker well done mirroring effect is an excellent foil for the bright contrast of the main subject, sort of like discovering an extra layer in the dessert - different but most complementary. |

Fantastic combination of the 2 shots, shows her grace moves as a ballarina! |

Well, this shot has multiple things going for it, the lighting is great, the perspective is awsome your daughter and pose are so eloquent, beautifl all around. I also like the overlayed image as it works well since see seems to be holding a different pose in that shot. This is a framer for sure. |

Looking down, in this instance, you teach me, reveals the beautiful diaphanous nature of the tutu. Even if the downward view partially obscures your daughter's face. (One or other of my daughters will say "that's a nice tutu" if they see this photo.) It's a trade off but the image works well. There are trade offs in every photo, I suppose. |

Perfectly done! I love it!!! That would have been a great reflections challenge entry. Your daughter looks very graceful, which makes a beautiful ballerina. |

Oh how AWESOME is that! I will definitely be taking another look at this one when I get home because my monitor at work is pittifully, aggravatingly dark, so at first, I didn't see the top little ballerina. Even without her, I was thinking this was such an exquisite photo -- but then when I noticed her, I fell in love!! I love how the white of her ballerina outfit glows so pretty.

slightly haunting. That leg might be a bit much but other than that it's a work of art |

So cool. Great detail. Nicely presented superimposed combination - that really represents a transition. |

A wonderful portrait - I love the very soft light. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked the overlay - the hand appearing in the skirt throws me a bit to begin with, but I do like the depth and dimension that it gives overall. Excellent tones. |
