The hands are a nice touch.

I really like how the lines are broken up by the hands, gives a focal point.

Interesting shot. Would have made a good shot if you had zoomed in and cropped around the hands comming through the fence.

Hands, and the fact that you can't see who they belong to, are a nice touch.

Very cool with the hands grabing the fence.

The pair of hands really make this picture stand out (to me at least) great job! 9

nice shot but I don't think you needed the hands on the rails

The hands in the middle gives this image a lot. How about litle more croping and maybe B&W.

Great shot, the hands spoil it in my opinion.

the hands are a little disturbing, on the other hand, they make a central poitn of the image...

nice shot, like the little hands

Nice shot! The hands are a bit distracting to me though.

Good one and I hope you do welll with it. It might also have been fun if you had cropped out all the ground and sky and zeroed in on the hands and a portion of the fence.

the fingers work well. Nice.

Fingers notch the grade up.

It seems like this is a mundane subject but those can often yield impressive artistic compositions. In your capture, however, you've not removed the excess mundane elements from the composition so I am reminded that this is merely a fence somewhere. The excess ground in the bottom left of the photo, the tree limbs in the sky at the top left of the photo and especially the view of the ground through the fence slats at the extreme right edge of the photo all are minor reminders about the setting that keep me from enjoying an abstract interpretation of the parallel nature of this fence. The hands speak to an abstract presentation: who is that? why are those hands there? is someone wanting to come to this side or are the looking at what this fence surrounds? You have a good subject and it looks to me like you have the start of a good artistic shot but I think a tighter crop that helps the viewer to see the fence as a type of thing rather than as just someone's fence somewhere would be good. Based on the relative heights of the horizontal bars above the hands I'd suggest getting the section of fence that contains the hands in the foreground with the next two consecutive sections to reinforce the parallel lines theme and show how anamolous are the hands in these parallel lines.

Of course, this is all based on my interpretation that you were shooting for an abstract interpretation of this fence.

is it keeping this person out or in? Nice pic. 7

The hands are an inspired touch (no pun intended!).
