I like the b&w, quite dramatic. The clouds lead so nicely to the Buttes. |

Another great shot Roger. I like these rugged butte scenes. I think a little bit of noise helps the general feel of this photo. |

Now this would be fantastic to see on a wall somewhere! Great job stitching them together and getting the exposures balanced. |

Wow, Roger!!! What an awesome job you did!! What a shame we can't see this in a huge version, splashed across a wall. Totally stunning photo - amazing. The sky, the land - all beautifully captured and assembled. Thanks for giving your processing steps, too.

Geez, this is spectactible (pet word for awesome!!).. Not sure that u need the book by the looks of this..
In the process oflearning cs2 myself and all i can say is it takes a while.. Being visual would rather experiment than read a process (all the steps) .. when stumped call my friend who is the best technical wizzard i know as she reads all the steps.. |

lol lol LOL !!!
i quote ..
"pp roughly was: open each in Raw and get similar exposures. Unfortunately, each was shot at a different shutter speed (rapidly changing light at sunset), so not exactly the same color. Copied background of each and pasted all into new doc. Overlapped using reduced opacity (50%) to match edges. Created layer mask and with 50% brush erased overlap. Used Hue/Sat to get colors to match as closely as possible (starting with topmost layer and working backwards). Channel Mixer to desaturate. Overlay layer to dodge and burn. Cloned out fence post. Noise Ninja to reduce noise. Resize, border, save for web."
doesnt sound like you need photoshop for dummies roger ..!!
brilliant result .. awesome image .. excellent processing (for a dummy!!..) .. :) |
