 Took this picture on the way to Salida, Colorado near Villa Grove. These are the Sangre de Cristo mountains, they look so beautiful with all the snow on them. I really would have liked to have gotten a picture for the Peace Challenge this week as Peace is such an important concept but I just couldn't come up with anything that wasn't a snapshot.

Editing in Photoshop CS2: Crop and Straighten, levels, curves, selective color, contrast, resize, smart sharpen, save for web.

This is simply one of the best photos i have seen. It is something about the colors, and the smoothness.

I have tried to eat a piece of the photo, but stopped again realizing my computer screen only got wet.
I will try again though because it's so smooth.

I really lie the texture and colors here. the way you have composed the leading line of the fence with the mountains seems a little awkward to to me. Perhaps it is that the fence and mountain range are fighting for my attention as the subject.

This should be in a gallery somewhere. A beautiful take on this challenge. Your levels are perfect white snow and nice darks in the posts. I would say this is def going to be a star shot or better ... good luck 10

So desolate, and yet so incredibly beautiful. The only thing that could make this a better shot is a blue sky or a black thundering sky, both of which you can't achieve in basic (or without a weather machine). *9*

Nice landscapse, like the shadows cast by the fence poles. Would like to see a little more of the sky in the upper right

I like the overall picture. The mountains are clear and contrast nicely with the sky, and the grass and fence in the front give some nice detail to look at. I do however think the leading line in it degrades the picture rather than enhance it. It leads my eye to a point where nothing happens. That's a bit of a disappointment. I think it would have been nicer if the fence ran all the way to the right. Or just without the fence, but not in this challenge. 6
