Take two. The first was on a hideous pink background. Of course the pink was interesting, but focus was a bit off.

I think the angle of this shot, detracts from the message. Maybe the cropping...it's hard to put my finger on what causes me a sense of uncomfortableness when I look at this. Others will probably love it, I guess that's art, though.

Well, it's better than the brownie it emulates, but the lighting is similar (not a good thing, I'm afraid). Better lighting would have really helped here.

Little too dark.

nice, I like that you made them actually make the "accidental letter" I think you could have used more light (or processing) to whiten your background more and add color and more light on your subjects. you seem to have nice sharp focus and good dof, a very good start

I really like the DOF here, but wish the background was less grey. It looks like six dead ladybugs on a piece of paper? I can tell by the way their legs are folded up. Of course, getting six live ladybugs to hold a pose like this would be impossible, so I don't think you had much choice, LOL.

don't know if it's much better than the original, perhaps different lighting

Some White Balance, or curves might help this.

The color is washed out, and its just not an appealing immage.

I think I would have preferred a bigger dof

better than the original, but not too much. at least the bug in rider's shot was alive
