Fitting still life - a mood appropriate to the idea of peace, w/ subdued colour & dof. 9. |

Neat picture, I am having a hard time connecting with the challenge, 5. |

Oh oh oh but I love shallow DOF and I really like how you've got such a tiny point of focus here. It really, really makes the tip of the chopstick into a focal point from which I slowly explore the rest of the image. The softness throughout is very calming as are the colours and shapes. |

i like hwo you focused on the tip of the chopstick rather than the entire bowl |

This has an interesting focus, and the colos coordinate well. |

Good pun and Dof, IMO if you had a single grain of rice on the chopstick with would add more to the photo :) |

cool. i'd like to see at least a little more dof, though. |

piece? or peace lack of DOF to me |

?? I think the single grain is missing and would have contributed well to a minimum of 3 points higher from me, but the plain brown against brown does not hold my eye enough to stop from wandering back to what's in the bowl and (low DOF) out of focus. |

I am guessing that you were going for shallow DOF here? |

i like the photo but it says single grain and i dont see a grain like it would be better if like on the focus part of the chopstick if there was a grain of rice. |

I really like this perspective and shallow depth of field. Nice job. |

Not sure I really like the focusing on the tip of the chop stick, sorry |

Maybe if you had a single grain on the end of the chop stick, it would have more impact? |

Unique photo. I'm sure you're going to get many similar comments, so I'll add one: The focus on the end of the chopstick is odd.
Is the subject a single grain of rice? Then in my mind, the focus should be on the rice, or there should at least be a single grain of rice on the end of the chopstick. Hey, that would be pretty cool actually. :) |

At first, I was not sure how I felt about this image, but as I stared at it for a little while, it grew on me. I like the lines of the image. Something about it is very peaceful. Well done. |

I like the composition, color, and overall feel of this. The title and the focus on the tip of the chopstick makes me think that there ought to be a single grain at the end of the chopstick. |

Interesting subject choice. Perhaps a different focus point would provide greater interest. Maybe have the bowl with a single grain in it? |

A single grain, but I don't see one in focus, I cant even make out if it is rice. The tip of one chopstick is all I see in focus. |

I would have liked this better if there was a single grain of rice on the end of the chopstick that's in focus to match the title. |
