I just wish the ladies were walking in the other direction -- toward the distance.

PP: converted from RAW. Noiseware, USM, Levels, Exposure, Color Balance, resize, save for web.

============================

FYI: The UFOs and/or spots are a blimp, three kites and a bird. Quite impossible to see in this small format.

I know it's not a great photo, but seven 1s and eight 2s seems a bit harsh to me. Is this really a bad photo?

Well, it's kind of a typical beach scene, without anything to really grab me. But it's nicely composed, the leading lines are obvious to me, it's well exposed. So it would've been a 5 had I voted on it.

Just ignore 1s and 2s. There are so few pictures that really deserve those scores that it's not worth worrying about them. I'd guess they're from people who need a very strong, obvious leading line.

No, it's not a bad photo. And I recognized the blimp as a blimp. I suspect your "leading lines" weren't strong enough for very literal voters. And I'll be one of the unwashed, unclean - but I like people in pictures. :-)

I happen to like and I don't think it's a bad photo. It's just not the eye candy people want.

I've been here! My son was born at the hospital there in 1970. We ran a trailer park there called Del Boy Trailer Park for a little while. That was a long time ago. Love the beach there though. This is a nice view of it. I would not have seen the kites, but I did see the blimp and wondered what it was.

lol @ufo and specs. I always did believe that aliens liked the beach! I think it's cool to see those balloons in the sky - too bad they were not closer - that would have been fun! What a beautiful day for shooting! I'm going to be in FL in 3 days - I hope it's this pretty when I get there!

I understand what you were trying to do, but I think you should have tightened the shot, especially since there are people in there. Whenever people see people they want to see a lot of people and the shot would not have been worse off to have been tighter on them.

The lighting seems a little flat and would like it better if the people were a little more in focus. What are the 3 balls floating in the sky?

I think you caught a UFO in this one!
