Hmmmm...I can't really say that this composition interests me. I do like the bare tree highlighted, but there just isn't much to land the eyes on. |

I like the two trees facing each other in different times of their lives as the sun goes down, very fitting. |

Nice spot Bud! I reckon this setting could look dramatic at all times and especially with stormy skies. |

Oh very nice! I like the dead tree next to the live one. Really makes the live one stand out that much more. I also like the bright spots in the sky really adds depth. |

I was thinking I had already commented on this, but then I realised I commented on the warmer one. I do probably prefer the warmer one a little, but this is still great. The trees really stand out. |

What a cool, dramatic feel you've captured... it's creepy and mysterious at the same time. I like it. That poor scraggley tree of to the side there.. he's not looking too good.. |

Both are find in my opinion. The warmer one add a little bit more interest in the sky which is a little bit flat grey but otherwise a great composition. |

Great shot, I love the lighting. I too prefer the the toned one but I am partial to warmer tones, nice job on both! |

I'm always a dissenter. I like this version best. I'm always amazed how well sunsets and sunrises can come out in b&w. |

I like the warmer version better. Did you burn down the trees at all? (not literally...) |

I prefer the warmer version. I'm not entirely sure why - perhaps because this scene is "warmer" to me than the cold gray of the straight conversion. |

I like the interesting sky, and the balance in this photograph. There is just the right amount silhouetted, and the composition is appealing. |

Reminds me of a time when I was in Ecuador. We had been out on the Tiputini River and hiking through the rainforest. On the way back to camp the sun was just going down and while I looked over the trees and to the sky I had this feeling, "what a nice ending to a great day". This photo has that feel to it.
