I have a good collection of old letters and recipe cards that were written and sent by my female relatives - for the most part.

This one was sent to my mom by my great aunt Boo - my paternal grandma's sister. It's dated 1960 up in the lefthand corner.

I've never made this, but someone did, because it's all full of spots and bits.

I shot this with the overlay side in mind and did use it as an overlay, but also wanted to post it in the SOL because this is one of my treasures.

I ran the photo through LucisArt Wyeth and then through the nik efex midnight filter with sepia. I sharpened a bit, but wanted to leave most of the blur created by the nik efex filter.

Where is the rest of the recipe? I am hungry for a black chocolate cake. Lovely old recipe card. Boo! Interesting name your grandma's sister, sounds like a scary story in there somewhere.

Definite old feel to this. It looks like a recipe that was enjoyed. I like the dark boarder and the sepia tone.

This is really interesting- vintage things like this tell their own stories, I think. I especially enjoyed reading about "Great Aunt Boo" just made me chuckle :)

Yes Alicia
Post the rest of the recipe.
Firstly because I'd like to give it a go and secondly because Rozy is eating all of my Darrel Lea honeycomb.

It looks really wonderful, but I'm just wondering, why you used all those filters? Mostly, all of those old hand written papers are so beautiful just as they are.
