Went to the local park earlier this week and took some pictures of the creek that runs through the park. I like the logs laying across the creek in this particular picture.

It seems kind of busy but there is just something about it that makes me want to keep looking at it. Not so sure it will have the same affect on anyone else but such is life. :o)

I was convinced I had commented already on this image, then realised it was a similar shot (colour) from the SOL side challenge! I'm not entirely sure what the Orton Effect that you used in this conversion is, but whatever it is, it seems to be very effective. This has a very soft feel to it, even though it's perfectly focused. Very nicely done.

Quite taken with the blur and soft shadows, gives a frosty feel (condensation on the window pane).

For me I think its a little too oof and makes me a little dizzy trying to fix my eyes on any particular area. am sure this effect would work better then the picture is printed large and you can view from further away? Its kind of enchanting.

Beautiful, Amanda! It's stunningly dreamy and draws me in. Love the tones.

The softness and the lovely light you catpured give this a sort of mystical feel. I really can see why you like looking at it!

I actually don't think it's too busy and I find that it's the reflection that keeps you looking. i do feel the blur is too much and actually make the pictures look more oof than actually soft glow though.

Amanda, this is beautiful! I love the softness of this beautiful winter scene. I'm a big fan (as you prob'ly may have guessed by my stuff too) of the Orton style too. Soft and dreamy = exquisitely yummy :)

It's amazing how pp can completely change the look of a photo. Perhaps it is a tad busy, but that can also mean there's a lot of stuff to look at. This has a somewhat gloominess to it, and I wonder how it would look if that route were pursued a bit more.

This has a nice, dreamy feel. The soft focus is good for this type of image and there is something very appealing to the image.
