I likethis shot, but I am inturpreting the rules very literally for this challenge and the yellow eyes take away from the illusion that this would have been a black and white picture. Also the black fur is too black I would like to be able to see details in the fur texture

Great composition and subject! I love how the paper on the left leads me to the cat. Unfortunately the eyes and nose and whiskers are out of focus. That would have made this an 8 but I'm going with a 4 because the focus is so critical to the shot.

Like the photo. I think the border should have been solid. Being able to see the newspaper in the frame is distracting.
