Well, we had an ice storm last night which left every tree, bush and all of the grass encased in ice. Unfortunately it all melted by noon but I was able to run out early this morning and get a few shots. They weren't that good, this was the best, but it's still really pretty when this happens! I wish we got ice more often, some people think I'm crazy!

I do love the look of the ice on the trees and grass and everything else but driving on it is not much fun. The encased branches are lovely.

I think ice is pretty cool as long as there isn't too much at one time. We had that happen last winter and lost power for a little over 12 hours. These almost look like creepy fingers.

That ice is beautiful, but I'm glad I don't have to deal with it! Nice processing.

Wow - that's amazing. I actually like that faint green shining through all the frost and ice. Beautiful how the light catches in the ice covering the branches.

I did and it looked a little boring to me so I just desaturated the colors a little instead. I felt like it really needed that tint of green behind the ice ;)

Actually it was completely covered but for some reason it didn't show up in the picture. Literally everything had a layer of ice!

edited for sp.

Ashley sending our ice your way.. It's treacherous in my driveway on the walk ways side walks etc.
The state has run out of salt so the driving also is hazardous..
Our weather fluctuates between rain, sleet, snow..

Very nice capture on the branches..

Did you say unfortunately it melted by noon?:)
Very nice shot of the ice. You can see how it weighed down the branches of the pine tree.
