I really didn't think it would be that difficult to figure out what is going on here. It is a very small soap drop dangling from a faucet (image rotated of course). After many attempts I was able to get the drop to hang so I could be creative with the lighting. The drop is transparent but when you shoot a beam of light through it you get this which I thought looked pretty nice and (I thought) hit the challenge theme pretty well. Anyway, that's pretty much it.

You got me thinking m8. Really cool. What got me was the elasticity. I thought it was something other than water. Going to look closer next time, because I never saw the little string like attachement so long in reference to the drop size.

Ah, now I see what it is (just read the description). Brilliant idea and great shot. WTG, Richard.
See you in the next Enzo round. Good luck to us both (did you ever think we would be competing against each other? ;-)

hmmm..i like the sharpness on the black oily stuff...but, what is going on here I do not know. I gave it some time and sought a second opinion without luck.

This was a very clever and interesting shot, I had to come back to it a few times to figure out exactly what I was looking at and I like that, I like shots that make me think.

Neat subject. One of those pictures that makes ya think, and still I got bored with it quickly. Maybe if you had little B&W kids playing around it...

Utterly intriguing as I can't make sense of what I'm seeing. Fascinating.
