Wonderful, like a buffalo jump. I like this just the way it is, the bright foreground, the dark geese, especially the almost spatulate tips of the one taking off, and the shimmering greys on the lake and the beyond. |

First thing I thought was, Hey guys wait for me... hold on I'm coming... guys.
Sorry I got side tracked. Love the contrast and all of the foot prints in the snow are great but that goose on the right is wonderful. It looks like the goose standing on the far left is watching him. |

Well, I like it as it is with the Geese leaving the sunny foreground into the bleakness of the background. The footprints really make this shot - nice one :) |

....and the last few fly south for the winter. hahah..
You have perfect lines in this photo from the water edge to the landscape. All the little goose prints playing a leading line role and tones make a great image. |

What makes this a fun shot to me are all the goose footprints in the snow. |

So beautiful! And I'm relieved. . .when I first saw the title, I thought it said, "Canada Goose Lunch". I was about to be sad :)
You got the whole range of pure blacks, pure whites and all the tones inbetween. Very nice!

I can see how this would be very tricky to take, but you have done a great job! I'm amazed that you captured the detail in the geese and the snow...truly amazing technical feat! I wonder how it would look if you dodged the sky and made it brighter to match the foreground creating a frame? Looks great as is though...wonderful shot! |
