love this, just for the background and light on the subject - looks like it has all that space to 'launch' in to as well..
Focus/ sharpness is a touch off it seems but otherwise excellent. (9) |

I like the breathing room, but there could have been a littl ebit of noise reduction. |

I like this picture, especially the rather ominous colour of the background. It looks like storm clouds, but I don't think it is . The butterfly has plenty of headroom in which to take off (perhaps just a little bit too much)? Well done. |

I love the composition of this shot. The only thing I do not like is that the leaves the butterfly is sitting on are not green. I think it hurts the photo overall. Other than that I like the DOF and that the background is grey/black. |

Negative space done well. The bug looks ready to flutter off to an awaiting flower, which is unseen by the viewer. There's a sense of peace and simplicity in the position of the butterfly, leading my eye to the emptiness to the right. Very nice. |

Way too much dead space in this image for me. Butterfly is captured beautifully though. |

This is a lovely shot. I think I would have liked it even more if there hadn't been quite so much empty space. |

Very nice. I'd prefer the butterfly more towards the middle |

Lovely. I do think your colors seem strange...the leaves are not green...?... |

Nice shot. I would crop out some of that negative space. I like it, but I think there's just a bit too much of it. You probably didn't have long to take a shot of this guy, but I wish we could see a bit more of the surface of the right wing. |

Beautiful image. The negative space is a beautiful color that really contrasts well to bring out the orange in the butterfly, and the subject is placed perfectly in the frame to really give the viewer the feeling that it's about to take off and float around in the rest of the image. 9 |

Tighter crop would have helped, and I would have liked to see his other wing |
