 My daughter found this fine specimen in a drying pond. Adjustments: added some contrast and sharpened it a bit.

Thanks John for the critique & 10. I appriciate all the comments from all you folks. It was a fun shot, as soon as my daughter brought the crayfish to me it said "orange" It was quite dead, winter kill I assume. I just set it on a wooden fishing pier and started shooting it at different angles in natural sunlight. Van

This is a phenomenal photograph. I gave it a 10. Unfortunately, you probably suffered from the 'not enough orange in my face' syndrome in the challenge. The detail, tone, and overall aesthetics of this photo are just great.
