 I wish I'd started this one sooner - so bloody difficult to get the lighting right and I've run out of time.

Compositionally I'm not sure this is that interesting but I wanted to play with cherries. Tried lighting it by strobe, tried HDRing, tried lots in my tiny enclosed space and just gave up...so this is light painted. I just don't have the patience for this kind of photography and every single time I try it I get lousy marks...so I'm trying again until I get better. I seem to be getting lousy marks all over the place so no great loss anyway.

No predictions...I'm sure it'll get reassuringly hammered by people for all kinds of random reasons.

PP: convert from RAW, burn in front to match other side, levels, cloned out a mark on the background, noise ninja, border, resize, usm, jpg.

For me only the shadow of the glass intrudes on this composition. The interaction of the waves with the shapes of the cherries is nice. Maybe an optical illusion but glass seems to be slightly to the right. If you're gonna center something, hit the mark. Just a nit pic. Nice image.

I love the background the lines add a sense of movement and go well with the circular shape of the cherries.

The lines in the background are very distracting and take your eye away from the subject. There are also a lot of hot spots on the glass.

This photograph has a varity of texture. The texture of the cheeries and the texture of the background create contrast.
