 Holy Cow! He's a looker ain't he? Quite the little Casanova too. And not only has he avoided being hit with the ugly stick, he's a super smarty too...all this at the ripe ol' age of 21 months. But he's still a real sloppy eater and is prone to the occasional meltdown when things don't seem to be goin' his way...oh, and there are the poopy diapers. Such is the life of a toddler.

(insert big sigh here)

For me Free Studies are all about trying something different. I don't usually go with the "high key" effect but I really loved how this turned out. I rarely photograph people, except this little dude, my dashing nephew Anil, and usually we're being super silly because I am the fantastico ultimate fun and crazy Auntie...and believe me when I say this was a lucky shot...he's usually quite the little ham.

So outstanding! Love it during voting. Just came across your notes - 21 months?? I bet he'll look like this when he's 21 years old.

Your process is superb and very fitting this excellent portrait. It's sadly underrated - but phooey and nevermind - know that you have a fantastic image here.

That's a nice crop and surely a model to follow. The 50mm f/1.8 did a good job there. Sort of enhanced a grainy harsh look with the wide open ap. Free studies are worth entering for the freedom they grant.

Well, I guess I really screwed up...I voted high based on artistic technique, character, and charm. My bad...next time I'll be sure to vote along with the other lemmings.

You know...the neph kind of has an Elvis thing going on...future heart-breaker!

The focus is a little too soft on the left eye. The hair above it seems to be more in focus and draws my attention
