 Inspired by the Black and White in Color II challenge (so technically it's not an outtake), this one worked better by preserving some of the subtle colors that came out of it.

Convert from RAW. Then in PSP X2, levels, curves, color balance, USM, resize, USM, JPG.

I love the look you've achieved with the very muted colours. With such a complex tree, I think the blown out sky actually works here; a bunch of clouds would have probably made the image too busy up top. Nice image.

Nice contrast between the tree and the building. At first I thought it would be a nicer shot without the tree but the more I looked at it, I think it's a nice effect.
