 The golden age of ribbon thread sweat and such
things like mice hidden in the walls chewing
the mechanical hiss and hums riding the vibrations
Dreams melted through tired hands and feet
what lies beyond the ear meat and severed spine
upon spools of colored twine as said on that there sign
rain like ice picks lifeless pourous pools for change
Were journey ends besides dead plastic leaf filled drain
were pigeons perch to stalk the minds of those insane
with eyes to ground feet propel the course the same
grey to white then black a house is seen in back
The buildings walls the street a crack
my eyes like bullets shoot righ through it and all is well
again
The glass as old hangs withered metal waves of light
stained in hidden shadows between walkways
feeding on them as if , told it was right
and now and then it shall pretend to ascend higher
before it falls violently underneath rubber tire
striding like lighting bugs drunk on corpse filled loli pops
grasshoppers encased in sugar plummed flags
waving in unison to please stop the f*&^ing car
how much can be taken before the synapses snap and the luancy takes over

A subtle marriage of image and sound as I hear the words inside my mind, shadows as echoes of the spoken and seen. Excellent.

For some reason, I can't help but recite these words with a Rap beat in my head. That's a whole lot of imagery you've got packed in there.

The image is awesome - I love how it's in focus waaay back there and blurry in front - I feel like that sometimes.

The words are so in keeping with your basement shots, too. Fantastic - thanks for sharing with us all.

The sepia is like an old tintype and this could have been taken yesterday or 60 years ago. NICE ONE.
