The original was taken on a foggy day and is hugely cropped - I'm not sure I 'improved' it by using the Exclusion filter, but still, I wanted to try it.

Delightful, experiments are wonderful things. I would, perhaps, try smoothing each layer so that there are no imperfections, but so that each one is unnaturally smooth (as paper would be). Or I would add a lot more imperfections (though both might be the worse for it).

It's been said, I see, but this resembles a wonderfully textured paper "print", with paint brushed over as well.

this is very cool. i love the layers, simplified. i used to give my students in london a project very similar to this, using, yup, paper cutouts to show sfumato in london. lovely colours and simplicity.

I too immediately thought of a paper cutout! I love the simplicity of just seeing the shapes, this is quite fine!!

This does look like a layered paper cutout. There is a cadence to the image that perfectly matches that of your haiku. Nice.

I had a room mate who was in art school and she did this cool thing where she cut out paper and layered it (sort of like a Kandinsky painting) and this makes me think of that. As if each layer is it's own unique separate thing. I like it.
