I don't know - I think the chaotic scratches add a sense of texture and depth. Were they all horizontal and evenly spaced it might not be as appealing. You have a great series of ladybug prints you can market - I suspect that's your plan? |

Doc, do you order these ladybugs up or something? I sometimes buy them at the local plant store, with the downside of having to keep them in the fridge until use. I actually like the "chaotic" scratches - I think they add some interesting texture to this photo. |

Had a hunch this was yours ;) Really like the sharp but not oversharpened look. Very clean shot. |

So how many of your entries have ladybugs in them?? I can think of at least 5 off the top of my head... Nice twist on the subject. |

Heh. I noticed the scratches on my silverware, too. Just say it adds character. ;)
Congrats on another high score! |

I love the detail, but I feel as though the whites might be blown out in this shot. A different color background might have helped. |

That yellow greenish reflection on the right side is distracting. There must have been something lying near by when you took the shot. Also, the washed out highlight on the knife is distracting as well. I would have liked a little more sharpness on the bug. Good idea. Must have took some time. |

The ladybug is a great touch, and focus is very good. |

That is one well-used knife. Good thing for the ladybug its probably not too sharp. She adds nice color to this. |

nice idea! Reflecton on botton is a tad to strong and I ask myself, what is the brown strip on right?
Otherwise a real good shot. |
