on a whim, woke up at 1:45 AM the morning of the deadline, drove 4 hours to Seaside, OR..
and no, I'm not retarded.. I know the sun sets over the Pacific, not rise, so no I didn't go there to take pictures of the sunrise, haha.
I had checked the weather report METAR (if you are into aviation you know what I'm talking about) and saw there was thick fog, and the trip was on..
packed the camera, the girlfriend, and a box of girl scout cookies and left.. got to Seaside just as the sun was coming up over the hill behind me and took a few shots of the sun hitting the radiation fog on the water by the peninsula.
not sure how this will do, but the joy was all in the adventure to take the shot, so scoring doesn't even matter to me right now.. haha..

First Impression: Good use of complementary colours - orange and blue
Composition: Feels very balanced, the cloud with the hill, the water with the sand. The image is also divided by these elements in a pleasing way.
Exposure: This also seems well balanced though I feel the need for a bit more detail in the hill.
Impact: The colour and balance of the image I think is what gives it impact. More detail in the hill I think would improve this.
Overall a well balanced pleasing image to look at.
Keep shooting.
