Another non-original idea but another opportunity to play with lighting. Used a single direct flash from the side for this to generate a harsh light and shadow effect. I am learning from all this, if only that I need to get a light stand as the contortions I am subjecting myself to are less than ideal :)

Not entirely happy with the texture of the background and I think the exposure for the bright section isn't quite right but it is a fair stab at the idea by my standards; lets see what the rest of you think.

The word tine is rather nice. I bet not so many people know what it means. I like the composition.

I like the composition, the way it occupies the diagonal. But i feel the crop would have looked better were it a bit more in the height dimension, AND the diagonals were still occupied the way they are.
