Wow what a great motion capture. I love how the black and white treatment really makes the one in front just kind of pop out of the picture. |

Guess the excellent panning has been covered lol. I think you did well here considering the harsh light and it certainly lends itself to a B&W conversion. Good sense of motion with the main subject in decent focus. At first I wasn't sure about the composition (missing shadows etc) but its growing on me all the time. |

While the purists will scorn harsh midday sun, I rather enjoy the very strong contrast sometimes and here it works wonderfully (to me, anyway!) The strong contrast works well to echo the strength of the cyclists, and the shadows of the bikes are great. This is a great shot to convert to B&W - I may have to give the LightRoom feature a try. Edit to add that in case I didn't make it clear, I really like this. I'm a big fan of cycling so that could play a wee bit in that.

Great motion pan! Nice, sharp rider with a smooth oof motion in the background. The b&w works very well in this shot, usually you see bikers with bright cloths which tend to draw the eye all around the frame, but here the focus is the riders and the sense of speed & motion, well done! |

Great panning shot. For me the light is still a bit to bright. But that probably reflects better on what it was like to be out racing that day. |

You compensated for the harsh sunlight very well. It's not a distraction at all for me because the black and white actually makes the contrast look quite appealing. I bet the color version is not nearly as forgiving.
I love bicycle photos. I'm not sure why. Maybe cyclists are normally so toned and athletic looking so they make such handsome photos :)

Great shot - I like the urban setting. The B&W is great - good contrast. I think one element that makes this work well is that the background is in the shadows, making the riders standout more. |

Same comment from me about the panning. I love the high contrast conversion - the whites really pop. |

Good job on the panning to show the sense of motion; it looks like they were really flying. I tend to like the high contrast, but wonder if the harsh light is making it too contrasty. Hopefully that makes sense. |
