I love the detail of the finch and the fade to bright on the outside. |

I love the soft glow around the bird. Gives it some magical feel. If you are into post-processing, one thing I'd like to see is the eye and surrounding area being highlighted some. I guess seeing the eye better helps create some kind of contact between human and animal and lets us know what it is looking at. :) |

I love the composition of this shot. You were so lucky that this guy didn't fly off when you got your camera out. |

I love the light in this - the way it fades out the upper right corner and the way it highlights the details in the feathers. Cute little guy, and very nice work composing it with the natural framing from the branches. |

What a fat little cutie! Love the backlight in this photo and the 'pose' the bird has struck. Very sweet photo. |

I see you can work your magic on bird portraits as well. Very nice. He/she looks like a very agreeable client, I'm sure he/she will recommend you to the whole gang. |

Nice capture, love detail and the backlighting! Maybe a slight vignette added to the edges to guild you in a bit but not much, just a thought. |

Nice backlighting on the feathers, the downside is it "blows out" the details on the right side of the image. I do like the oof foreground and background elements, making the finch the only thing in focus. he really stands out. |

Oh you did goooooooooooood ! ! ! What a treat. Both for you and for us :) What a perfect, classic pose he gave you. I love the cold winter feel that the black and white enhances. He looks like he fits right into his winter scene. Awesome as ALWAYS :)

Yes, he sure is puffy! There is good detail in the feathers. It's difficult to get birds eyes to show well unless they are directly in the sun light, especially when they have a dark mask like this bird. You managed to get some eye detail, and even a catch light. The tree in the foreground looks a little washed out on my monitor. It might benefit from a little burn in in that area. |
