Challenge: Magazine Cover Revisited (Advanced Editing I)
Camera: Canon EOS-10D
Location: San Diego, CA
Date: Mar 20, 2004
Aperture: f/4.0
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/45th
Galleries: Portraiture, Photojournalism
Date Uploaded: Mar 20, 2004

I created the cover in Photoshop to have the text "Person of the Year" etc., created the border, added TIME and then printed it.

I then put the print on top of an old Time Magazine, laid them on a neutral background, added my pen to make it more casual, and to make it clear that that this is an orignal photo.

Took this picture with Canon 10D.

Only post processing was levels adjustment and cropping.

no text....no pictures of text? hmmmm....no artwork.....does that include your own mockup? think you may have missed the point......the image of the very handsome lady is fine, great smile, but think more saturation might have been used, she looks a bit washed out.

Great idea, it could be the cover for "the best of 20xx" time magazine.

Clever, and you obviously went to a lot of trouble. Unfortunately, I don't think this shot could, in turn, be effectively used as a magazine cover photo, and the cheap printed pen didn't help. Sorry!

no text according to the rules?
"Artwork. Literal photographic representations of the entirety of existing works of art (including your own) are not considered acceptable submissions, however creative depictions or interpretations are permissible. This includes, but is not limited to paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, and computer artwork. "

Misread the brief? EDIT...Nope, it was me being stupid...apologies...I can see now this is very good but you are being naughty since no one else has been allowd the luxury of submitting the "finished" article with text...tsk tsk

You had me fooled there for a while! Very creative shot and well done! Not only the date, but the picture itself should have tipped me off since it's clearly:)

Maybe a subtitle of "The Risk Takers" would have been apt? I saw this when I did a quick take on the thumbnails and hoped there was something very witty or funny on the cover. Oh well. The picture is adequate and different and the model looks very professional. Hope you do well.
